Prepping for July Hat Class and Lakefront Arts Festival

So this month is just a blur of felt, buckram, and other millinery goodies.  The 26th I teach my hat class and I’ve been getting things ready for that. (btw it’s almost full).  Plus I have the Lakefront Art Festival coming up and I’ve got to stock my hats up for that.

I haven’t even had time to organize my supplies! As you can see it’s a major mess and I’ve taken over the dinning room.

Here are some forms drying that I just blocked.  The cream is my first attempt at free forming felt.

I’ve gotten into making my own butterflies as well.  I still have 30 more to wire and make antennas.

These are some dry blocked waiting to be wired and finished.  Plus some small sinamay fascinators that are done and waiting to be inventoried.
This is another small fascinatorish cloche I just finished.  It has freshwater pearls in the flower.

I still have so much more to do so off I go back into the mess!
