Where to start?

Hi….my name is Amanda Joyner and I do way too many things in one day.  To start I am Ex-Pastry Chef, Mother of 3 (yes 3), Super Hero, Hat Maker, Tball Mom, Vice President of Parent Teacher, Art District Board Member, etc..etc..etc.

In 2010 I started making hair accessories.  Something I’ve done on and off my whole life and got lots of joy from.  One day I really wanted this beautiful hat and my husband suggested why not learn to make hats myself.  So as I started dabbling with my glue gun handy I realized I was on to something.  In 2011 I took a class with Joy Scott in Chicago who taught me all the basics of hat making and gave me my first hat block…I was instantly addicted.  Since then I’ve been teaching myself whatever I can and creating my own funky way of making hats.  I’ve grown so much in such a small amount of time and now can call myself and “international” milliner!  I can’t even begin to think where I’ll be in a few months because I can’t believe where I am now.

My hats have been worn at the Grammy’s, the New York Fashion Runway for Full Figured Fashion Week, on TV, and everyday on my pretty little head.
